After the stock market crash, vaudeville disappeared but Broadway musicals reached new creative heights. John Kenrick shares his lifelong passion for classical musical theatre in this celebration of the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter and others who kept theatre thriving in tough times.

John Kenrick is an American author, teacher and theater and film historian.  He has taught musical theatre history at several universities.  His 2008 book Musical Theatre:  A History is a comprehensive history of musical theatre from ancient times to the present.
