Wednesday, February 5: Congressional Filibuster-What is the “filibuster” and why does it
exist? Does it serve a useful purpose? Who does it help and when and why? Does the “nuclear
option” render the filibuster obsolete? Should we keep the filibuster or do away with it?
Wednesday, February 12: Confederate Monuments-History or Bigotry-There is a heated
debate about the presence, message and place of Confederate statues, monuments and flags.
What message do they send? Should they be removed? Where, if anywhere do they belong?
Wednesday, February 19: Presidents’ Day-Who was your favorite U.S. President and why?
Which President do you think had the greatest impact on the United States and why? Who do
you think was the worst President? What do you remember most about a specific U.S.
Wednesday, February 26: Food and Memories-Food is a universal connector of people,
cultures, traditions and families. What was your favorite food growing up? What are your fondest
memories involving food? Was there a food or foods that evoke certain memories? How were
food and holidays intertwined in your family?
Bagels and coffee will be served. Meet new friends; see old friends. What happens in Men’s
Group stays in Men’s Group. Join us!!
