Presenter:  Elon Perry, retired Israeli journalist
Tuesday June 29, 2021 @ 1:30pm via ZOOM

In his talk, Elon Perry explains the main reasons for the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian terror organizations. Elon worked as a journalist for 24 years for several Israeli national newspapers, as well as for radio and television. Elon lectures on the 4,000 years of the history of the Middle East, specializing in the 100 years of the Israeli/Arab/Palestinian conflict. In this he presents a unique perspective, due to the combination of covering the topic as a journalist as well as serving as a combat soldier in an elite commando unit of the Israeli army which enables him to relate stories from the battlefield as they happened, rather than as seen in the media. Elon took part in raids in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank to capture dangerous terrorists, seize their confidential documents, and destroy their operational bases.

Elon has a Master’s degree in History and Political Science from Tel Aviv University.

This program is co-sponsored by The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
