OCTOBER 2021 TOPIC SCHEDULE

Wednesday, October 6: What makes people believe in Conspiracy Theories? COVID-19 and the U.S. elections provided fertile ground for conspiracy theories. How do conspiracy theories start? Why do they persist, and who is most likely to believe them? Is there any way to combat them?

Wednesday, October 13: What makes a real Man? Are you a “real Man”? The debate has raged in societies for ages-what makes a male a real man? What is your definition of being a “Man”? What is masculinity? Has the definition of being a man and masculinity changes over time? How do you show or have you exhibited your “manhood” during your life? Let’s discuss.

Wednesday, October 20: The Four-Day work week…Is it better and more productive? Everybody loves a three-day weekend, but would you love it as much if you had one every week? Do you think a four-day work week would lead to more productivity? Would workers be happier? Would you prefer working 4-10 hour days rather than 5-8 hour days?

Wednesday, October 27: Challenges in your life…have you met the challenge? We have all faced challenges in our lives, whether related to our relationships, health issues, job, growing up. What has been the greatest challenges you have faced in your life? Is there a challenge you would never want to face? Have you faced challenges that you believe improved your character? What is the greatest challenge you are facing right now?
