Born to abject poverty, Josephine Baker rose above bigotry in the US and found legendary stardom in the music halls of Paris.  How did she battle racism and Nazi oppression, and how did scandals and debt plague her later years?

John Kenrick is an American author, teacher and film historian.  He is an adjunct professor of musical theatre history at New York University and The New School and lectures frequently throughout the tristate
