Wednesday, March 2: Critical Race Theory-What is it, what does it mean and why are we afraid of it? The topic of “critical race theory” has exploded in the public discourse in the past year, with many state legislatures seeking to ban its use in the classroom. What is “critical race theory”? Is “critical race theory” a method and information to better understand American history or is it a divisive tool? Why are people afraid of it?


Wednesday, March 9: The New Jersey Parole System-Does it work? Is it Fair? There are many myths about the Parole system gleaned from the media. In reality the system is complex. Does the system look for reasons to deny parole? Is Parole given too easily? Are there biases in the parole system? Let’s discuss.


Wednesday, March 16: Happy Birthday!? Do you celebrate your birthday, and if not, why not? Generally, people believe it is not only good but necessary to celebrate one’s birthday. How do you feel about birthday celebration? Do you celebrate your birthday? Is there a reason you do not celebrate your birthday? Let’s share.


Wednesday, March 23: Can you have a healthy marriage without much sex? We are taught that sex is important to the marital relationship, that it is the glue that holds couples together. Is this true? Is it possible to have a long-lasting relationship without sex? Is sex overrated? Let’s discuss.


Wednesday, March 30: The United Nations-is it still relevant in our interconnected world? Founded in 1945 in the aftermath of WWII, the U.N. just celebrated its 75th anniversary. But is it still relevant or necessary? Is the U.N. effective in its mission? What is public opinion of the U.N.?
