The screenwriters, director and stars all wanted to be working on other projects. How were these unwilling talents combined to create one of the most beloved films of all time? How did Hitler help turn this movie into a still-powerful attack on the evils of fascism? And how did “As Time Goes By” become the film's unintended theme song and a popular classic? A joyous look back at the making of one Hollywood’s most quotable hits.
John Kenrick is an American author, teacher and film historian. He is an adjunct professor of musical theatre history at New York University and The New School and lectures frequently throughout the tristate.
This program is co-sponsored by The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
