Remember Drinking Tequila in College? Remember Regretting It? You Just Drank the Wrong Tequila!

In this presentation, Steve Baumgarten will educate the group about where Tequila comes from, how it is made, the various types of Tequila, and how Tequila is different from Mezcal. Each participant will taste four of Steve's favorite Tequilas. He will help everyone to gain an appreciation of the amount of work that goes into making Tequila, as well an an appreciation of what good Tequila has to offer! So leave the salt and lime in the cupboard and join us for an informative journey through the world of Tequila!

Steve is a regular family man, but with a passion for all things Tequila!  He and his family lived in Edison for more than 25 years and were active members of the JCC.  First introduced to good Tequila on a business trip to Mexico, Steve asked the bartender for his “best” Tequila.  He brought over the manager who held a bottle that appeared to be covered in silver.  He poured a small glass and after tasting it – mind blown!  It’s been a great ride ever since.  Steve is retiring soon and Tequila will play a prominent role in his new adventures.
